The visions for my images are drawn from scenes that I notice in my local environment and often while I am further afield. Sometimes the initial idea stays with me for years until I feel ready to work on it, and other times the process is immediate.

Linocut is a technical process and I enjoy the challenges of working with a limited colour range, working in reverse (mirror image) and the sometimes frustrating length of time it takes for each layer of ink to dry. This is a process that can’t be rushed and a methodical and patient approach is required.
